According to him, it's not true. Well that's on the days that he's a family farmer.

Other days of the week he's at multi-generational soldier who spent more time in the 'Nam than he has here and several decades throughout the Middle East. He knows more about Muslims than anybody here.

On other days he's the owner of a corporation that has nothing to do with farming whatsoever and has not been affected by tariffs either because he's just really cool like that.

Foreign Ownership in the U.S. Beef Industry

About 15% of the U.S. beef industry is owned by foreign companies.
Market Control by Major Companies

The "Big Four" meat packers dominate the market, controlling 85% of the U.S. beef processing sector. Here’s a breakdown of their ownership:

Company Ownership Type
Tyson Foods American-owned
Cargill American-owned
JBS Foreign-owned (Brazil)
National Beef Significant foreign ownership (Brazil)

This concentration of ownership has significant implications for the market dynamics and pricing within the beef industry.

The trolls will still lie and blame President Trump. They forget how high and quick food prices raised under Biden. They also cherry pick the bad and ignore the good, typical for their ilk.

Locally, ranchers have started processing their own beef, it stops the big corps price gouging and bonus no high shipping. I buy beef once a year, pay about 5 bucks a pound. It costs more to buy the crap beef tyson sells.

One of the less talked about costs are the data center buying up farmland, the closer they build the higher the farmers have to pay in property taxes, the trolls will blame President Trump for that too. I have had a few Chinese companies try and buy me out. Except for one parcel, all the properties border each other and although I get offer on each, never for all of them at once, not sure why not.

Another issue less talked about is the generational farm kids do not want to keep the farms going. Farming has gotten to be a money laundering scam. Raising horses has too. Million dollar race horses can be bought cheap or even given away after they age out.

If you can't make money growing things, you don't work the system hard enough.

Why would ranchers be in "survival mode" if things are going so great under this administration
