Bodegas are not grocery stores. They are convenience stores with a small amount of necessities and mostly junk food.

And, BTW, there ARE legit groceries that are immigrant family owned in the proximity of that proposed albatross he is building, that the owners are already plotting their exit strategy.

And the presence of a grocery store does not kill bodegas. There is a major grocery store near me, as well as several bodegas. They are all thriving and have been together for decades.
