As an Australian I would like to step in here and say that "Aborigines" is the colonialist term coined by Captain Cook.
Please refer to my people as "Aboriginals" as they prefer that term and in Australia reffering to them as "Aborigines" will get you in legal trouble for racism.

I didn't mean I was an Aboriginal I meant I grew up around them.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, to clarify I am an Australian white with British family and I am offended by the term "Aborigines" not because I am one but because I grew up around them and some of my close friends are.
