Wow, the strangest thing, I just read your comment, but then I went outside to check to see about a package that is supposed to come today. It's a very warm day today, almost like early summer but with a nice breeze.
So I'm standing in the yard, and a Mr Softee truck (they sell soft serve ice cream) passes by and stops in front of a house across the street. Then a car pulled up and parked behind it, and a young man gets out. I thought I would get to tell you a funny story, that even if an adult wants to have that ice cream, they're going to to have that ice cream.
Didn't look like there was anybody else in the car but him. So he goes to the side of the truck so I can't see from where I was, and then I'm looking at flowers on the other side of the yard, then I hear yelling, and he said something like "That's what I said," then he curses as he's going back to his car, "What do you think I'm talking about, I live here, this is my neighborhood." And the ice cream truck pulls away. So he gets back in his car all angry and turns and drives in another direction.
The thing is, the guy in the car was 'Black,' and maybe doesn't live in this part of the neighborhood, but probably another part of it that is some blocks away.
So I don't know what happened, but the fact that he was yelling about how he lived here and this was his neighborhood sounds like the ice cream guy refused to sell him ice cream because he didn't 'look' like he was from here. The driver of the truck ice cream truck looked White, possibly Hispanic. I first looked when I heard the truck because they play this music tune, so I got a quick look at him.
Like, what year is this?
