And then you'll no longer be able to call them friends cause that implies you'll be on a equal level to them in status. eventually to them, you'll just be seen as your abilities, and to you, you'd see them as fodder

Xander: I don’t see how being stronger makes you unable to have friends. Sure, Inkmatas is me and Rea’s adopted daughter, but she is stronger than me, yet I’m not fodder to her.
