How does that even make sense grammatically or in general

Because in Buddhism, It teaches you to let go of a permanent identity or self, So instead of saying “I got a new haircut” you say something like “The hair on this head got a new style from the haircut”

You can still say “I am” to things but not be attached to the concept of what you are when you say that, if that makes sense
