*Nico di Angelo blinked a couple times before going over to the older boy, hoping that the kid couldn't see through the mist and wouldn't notice his sword*
Nico: hey, are you ok? did you fall? *Nico looked around, not noticing any fallen branches and narrowing his eyes slightly in suspicion; clearly the tree didn't break beneath this boy. maybe he accidentally let go???*

(Hieee!)

*an angry, purpling bruise was spreading up his forearm. Evan whimpered, shaking his head*
Evan: “I… I fell from up there I-“
*he hesitated, so he might’ve been lying*

*Nico raised an eyebrow, unconvinced by the obvious lie, but he didn't pry*
Nico: here, come back with me and I'll get my boyfriend to patch up your arm *the Italian demi-god extended a hand to Evan, shifting his crutch over to the other hand to help him stand up* He's a doctor

*he took the boys hand, standing with some effort. He continued to cradle his arm, sniffling*
Evan: “Your boyfriend? That… that’s cool. That he’s a doctor.”
*he offers a small smile*

*Nico nodded, switching his crutch back over to the correct arm and motioning for Evan to follow him*
Nico: he's amazing at what he does. c'mon, camp is just this way *Nico started off, looking at Evan's arm for a second before adding on* can you hold your arm until we get there? I don't think I have anything to make a sling with

Evan: “Oh-! Yeah sure.” *he holds his arm like Nico said* “I…. Thanks for helping me.”

Nico: *shrugging* I can’t just leave you alone. You wouldn’t be able to protect yourself from the things living in the woods if I did *Nico lead Evan back to the barrier of camp, stepping through and pausing. Now to see if he passed through*

*he hesitated, frowned, then followed Nico. There was little resistance, but he passed through the barrier*

*Nico nodded and continued, scanning the treeline for anyone or anything that might be watching them*
Nico: It’s just a little farther ahead *He jumped over a tree root, looking behind to make sure Evan’s not gonna end up hurting himself on any other trees* Hey, how’d you fall out of such a small tree anyways?

*he’s following slowly behind Nico, still holding his arm. But the minute he hears his question, he pales*
Evan: “Uh… I… it’s complicated.”

*Nico knew that tone well, especially since it was one that he'd used before; the tone of 'I don't want to tell you yet if ever at all'*
Nico: ok then- but I'll let you know now, Will and the other medics are going to pry *the duo cleared the treeline and Nico paused, scanning the pavilion to see if he could spot Will (or any other Apollo healer, the son of Hades wasn't picky when it came to other people)*

*Evan sighed, his frown deepening*
Evan: “… Okay, okay.”
*he followed Nico slightly closer*

*Nico started down the hill after not finding anyone, deciding that the infirmary was probably the next best place. Camp was smaller now that school had started, only really the year rounders like himself or campers whose school years started late still staying- though Hermes Cabin was crowded as ever. Nico paused sharply, using his crutch to stop Evan*
Nico: wait *the shorter demigod tapped the patch of creeping Ivy on the ground* ‘scuse me Ivy, just wanted to let you know you’re in the infirmity’s main walkway. Just warning you that you might get stepped on *Nico gestured for Evan to go in front of him to prevent the new boy from walking straight into a dryad* The infirmary is through that door, they’ll help with your arm

*Evan nodded, very confused as to why this boy seemed to be talking to a plant. But he wandered toward the door Nico had pointed out to him anyway, walking slowly, as if afraid of what he might find. He had no reason not to trust Nico, but he was uneasy none the less*

*Nico entered after him, flagging down Will with a wave of his hand*
Nico: Hey Will, I found a kid in the woods with a broken arm *Will wiped his hands off with a rag, looking at Evan and giving him a smile*
Will: *brightly* Hi there. Take a seat on that bed and I'll be there in a jiffy *The curly haired blond had a tall build, bright eyes, and a _strong_ Texan accent. he gestured to an open cot a couple down from the door, turning his attention back to where he was bandaging up a kid's leg that was sporting- was that a _stab wound_?!*

“Hello there small brother are you in need of assistance?” He says while looking at his arm closely his voice is muffled and is very stern but has a very slight sense of sincerity in it.

*He stares at you for a moment, confused. Then he nods, sniffling. A dark splotch of a bruise is already spreading across his forearm. He flinches slightly when you come closer*

“Do not fear brother I am here to aid you.” He says pulling out a splint and som bandages

As He reaches out to apply the splint and bandage your arm you catch a glimpse at his pack and you see something that resembles a gun and you look at his hip and see a knife and are now thinking about running after he finishes applying the splint.
