I find this funny too. She zeroes in on a small detail and ignores the elephant in the room.
There was a Dilbert comic like this. The Pointy-Haired Boss was speaking at someone's funeral. Going off notes from a performance review, he said "Bob needs to work on his communication skills....and attendance."
