Move over Jesus, there's a new doctor in town

Sadly I'm not too familiar with Gunsmoke

An old, old show. Started on radio in the early 1950s was adapted for TV a few years later. It was on TV for about 20 years, followed by a few TV movies. There's a Pluto channel that carries it 24/7.

It's just I don't recall watching it growing up.
We didn't watch Westerns really, to me that was just John Wayne killing the Indians type of thing.
I might have already been in college when I started watching Clint Eastwood movies and realizing it wasn't always just that.

I do remember seeing F Troop when I was really really young tho. Peter Storch, yay!

I had forgotten what an ornery old cuss Doc Adams was until I started watching again on Pluto. he was especially grouchy toward Chester and later Festus.
