I just don't see a reason to make fun of people for being different. What if you were gay and people made fun of you? You wouldn't want that. We all know the golden rule and its important to follow that.

Well most gay people aren't psychotic weirdos. And as you said, there's nothing wrong with regular gay people minding their own business, then why does it matter whether your children become gay or not as long they mind their business too?
Because there are those in the education dept that want our kids to be exposed to drag queens telling stories. this reeks of grooming. Most parents wouldn't give a damned about drag queens only the ones grooming their children. So that's why those people start hating on those pushing this kind of "entertainment education". One day you'll grow up and have kids and understand.
Then I guess we can look into that. Maybe reform drag queens and it will be fine. But that doesn't mean we have to shut the system down. We can still salvage something. And children don't necessarily get exposed to grooming through LGBTQ. We should still acknowledge people who are different, and that is the purpose of this, not to make children turn on parents.
