Old-school effortless bog-standard meme that you can do in 2 mins while taking a dump.

Vs AI slop that can produce way better epic results, IF you can get the robots to actually do what you want after hours of prompting and getting yourself on Greta's hitlist.

Just to give you a comparison.

I've made a bunch of AI memes with ChatGPT on here and have no issue with that (cos the planet/environment was f**ked before you were even born, Greta, and no one listened to Carl Sagan in the 70s, so spare me) but mostly I just stick to the basic templates cos part of the challenge is repurposing an old template to whatever message you want. And the whole business of it kind of makes the meme joke.

Because honestly half the time it's not worth the time cos AI still can't follow orders or count fingers, etc.

Give it a few more years, I guess.

But when it gets it right, then yeah, AI can do stuff I couldn't dream about with Photoshop, if I could afford it cos I've never used that either.

And fwiw I don't remember artists ever moaning as much about when Photoshop appeared as they do with AI. Nor ppl moaning about how much water/energy Google, YT and FB guzzle btw.

(Or how their fast-fashion clothes are made by basically child slave labor, or their food, or smartphones? Or basically everything else they take for granted every day that only exist by exploiting tf out of global economic inequalities.

When cameras were invented, artists also said it would spell the end of art. It didn't; it created a whole new genre of art.

When electricity was invented, people argued it would kill everyone and you can literally find old-school "memes" saying electricity is the devil and stuff.

How times have changed...

AI is a whole nother level, sure. But it's not the first time this has happened.

And anyway it's not going away any time soon unless OpenAI goes bust lol. So tldr can't beat em, join em.

No AI here. That's a standard old-school meme template with basic imgflip text added on top that anyone who knows how can knock up on their phone in minutes while taking a Trump (sorry, I mean dump). Doesn't get much more basic than that. Can't comment on the cartoon coz I've never watched it.

Didn't even add any images (like my other meme today) which are also just basic ones from a 10-second Google Images search with background removed that you can do on a bunch of free websites (again, in seconds).

I can do AI memes too (and have played around a bunch).

Much more fun actually and I have no issue with it even if the robots are gonna put us out of a meme job (but not quite yet).

Can make way more creative hilarious stuff with AI. And I fully intend to keep doing that, so Greta and her artsy friends who never got paid much anyway will have to put me in the chokey or something cos it's here to stay for the moment and I ain't gonna say no to cool new tech even if it does take half my jobs.

It's just a pain to get the prompts right sometimes (especially as the robots suck at spelling, following orders, and getting famous people's faces right).

And there's still something to be said for using the old-style stuff and repurposing it. Less is more sometimes.

This meme doesn't comment on who's "winning". It's just a pisstake of Trump's negotiation offer and Iran saying "Nah".

Also, I don't approve of assassinations. Aside from being legally questionable (and possibly against a lot of rules), I think it's a bit cowardly. Pressing a button safely from your chair isn't quite the same as being in hand-to-hand combat.
