They used to rent a ballroom in a hotel and have their party. I only went once, it was like a wedding. I didn’t like it. During covid, they decided to use the large open space across the street from our building. It’s their land anyway, and everyone would be outdoors. They put up a bunch of small shanties that people could walk up to for hot chocolate or various treats. They had Santa and live deer… much more of a family event. It went over so well, it’s become a regular event. I went to it on my last Christmas as an employee. Now when I visit, I only go to the small, informal one that the guys on section shift have. Where everybody brings something. I ask my supervisor what I can bring. It’s more my speed 🙂 I agree with you guys opting for the bonus! 😎👍
