Even some animation meant for kids has some serious depth only older people will understand. Case in point: Netflix Carmen Sandiego series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Avatar: The Legend of Korra, and many others

So much animations that are not kid friendly
And I know which ones are bad because I'm a kid

I used to say the same thing until I realized that the only thing I was watching was mainstream animated movies, so if I were you, I'd start opening up your palette to live action or more obscure animated movies made by companies most people've never heard of
