only people who read it will know

some of the key points that make the book scarier, is the fact that in the end the childlike empress was evil and was tearing Bastian's mind away, by telling him to keep wishing with the auryn. another fact is that Atreyu dies later on, there are an army of worms that are always starving but cant starve to death and so cry corrosive acid that instantly melts anything but steel. another fact is that Bastian in the end loses his mind. and that the nothing was trying to save the kids from their own inmaginations.

I gotta admit, I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of this.
