God is everywhere at once. Why wouldn't he be in schools? The problem isn't that God isn't there. The problem is that nobody in public schools asks for God's guidance. These school shootings happen much more frequently in public schools than private schools.

Jesus is the One who redeemed us on the cross and for that He is worthy of our praise and worship. When traveling to the Temple, the Disciples were doing exactly that. People told that them stop. Jesus said, "If they stop then the rocks may cry out." Since Jesus never exaggerated or lied it implies that even an inanimate object recognized its Creator.
