Iran has been sending missiles to Saudi Arabia with more success than they've had against Israel, same with Dubai, Qatar and other arabic nations. No friends they haven't bombed.
Well, it's just that Saudi Arabia closed its airspace for the U.S shortly after Trump initially promised active support for Iranian protesters. That's why he didn't get anywhere then. SA had some regional diplomatic reasons. I guess those reasons were temporary...
