They even threw trucks of ice at the cops, I do had to had to go to the hospital because of injuries, one to the eye.

Really big crowd having a snowball fight in Washington Square Park, and then they started pelting police officers. And Mamdani, while saying it was disrespectful, refuses to say it was a crime and dismisses it as 'it looks like a snowball fight"

Yeah I'm sure it started out as a little harmless fun until like in your instance some jackwad starts hurling ice chunks and injuries happen

In grammar school, some dude threw a piece of ice at someone's nose in the schoolyard after lunch, and she started bleeding. I mean gushing blood from her nose, I never saw anything like it. It was horrible, she was sitting there crying. He did it for no reason, he was horsing around. Well he got kicked out.

I saw it on the news earlier. He looked really fake acting all surprised and innocent, "But I don't know what this is."

He has a history of making videos 'pranking' cops, so that's going to be his excuse.

Yeah, I'd later read that they dismissed the charges of the snowball but he recently got picked up for an armed robbery

They had said prior to his arrest that it would be difficult to convict them on attacking them with the snowballs because they just have pictures of them holding snowballs but nothing of them directly throwing and hitting the officers or with the intent to hurt them.

I heard about the robbery charge today, it was like a month ago or something. There are a couple of other charges from this snowball incident though that they did charge him with.

Boy, it sounds like the court system in the city of New York is all screwed up

Goodness gracious, there was a bunch of cops, and it was a ton of people, and it's hard enough to identify them, let alone what they were doing.

Just because there's a drunken brawl in the bar, doesn't mean that random people get to get arrested and put in prison for it just because they were there. You have to be identified as committing a crime in order to be sentenced for it.

You can't send somebody to prison because there's a picture of them holding a snowball. Those cops were surrounded by literally hundreds of people. Look at any of the videos, can you tell who is throwing what at whom?

As for the video of, no you can't tell because there are too many people there
So yes there had to be another cop to point out ( if their was any ) which one and where it was thrown but I didn't see either

Those are police officers, not some thugs getting it on with some other thugs in a snowball fight. It should not be expected at all.

A lack of respect for the police is a reflection of the lack of respect they have for themselves. Then they wonder why they go nowhere in life, while making things difficult for those who have, like police officers have made something of themselves in life.
