One advantage that paper mail has over email is that you don't need to know the exact address of the person you're mailing the letter to, whereas email addresses must be spelled exactly right. For example, after the Miracle On The Hudson, Chelsey Sullenberger got one letter with only two words for the destination address. Those two words were "Hero Pilot".
