I've seen what both Carrie White and HAL-9000 can do, and both are slightly terrifying. HAL is far more intelligent though.

You're forgetting one thing. HAL 9000 can only interact with and manipulate equipment it was designed to interact with manipulate. Also, HAL 9000 is limited by the laws of physics. Carrie White is not bound by the laws of physics and if she can see it, she can move it with her mind.

Which means Carrie White is more dangerous than HAL 9000 ever has been or ever will be.
