I do like SEGA, but I’ve never tried Persona

When I say I like SEGA, I strictly mean their games and their history. The company sucks right now.

including the sonic franchise?

It’s their most popular one but it’s not the top of my list.

Clearly you haven’t played Yakuza, Super Monkey Ball, Jet Set Radio, Puyo Puyo, Crazy Taxi, or The Endless.

I'm talking about today. All of those games are out of date but they're still good. I'm not saying those are bad games but I was thinking of today's Sega games

To be fair, The Endless is no longer attached to SEGA. And neither is Bayonetta. And Monkey Ball has never reached the heights of its 2001 days.

But Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 are easily among SEGA’s best work.

I was aware of Super Monkey ball games. I only played the arcade version. I pretty much only pay attention to Sonic and Persona

Normally I would recommend Yakuza, but the way they treated the games during the 20th anniversary makes me hesitant. They delisted a bunch of them in favor of bad remasters and remakes.

And that’s sad because Yakuza 1-8 (and 0 but it’s not a mainline story) are incredible. Plus the 2 Judgment games.

The only way I can recommend Yakuza is if you buy the games on GOG because that’s the only place they haven’t been delisted.

PLEASE play the persona games they are peak

I definitely recommend the Persona games. Persona 4 has the best story, characters, and humor, but Persona 5 is a lot more stylish. Persona 3 is also decent, but I hate how they ported the portable version instead of FES.

Are the numerical games basically their own stories?

Yes. It doesn't matter what order you play them in.
