She's a laughing stock but don't think for a minute that she's an anomaly. EVERYONE protects the bread winner. I think people would be surprised if they knew the truth. No. Let me rephrase that. They know so I think people would be surprised by the number of mothers that sacrifice their children so they won't lose the money maker. Entire families will disown the children just to protect their reputation and income. Truth tellers are shunned. That's what enablers do. You get thrown to the wolves because, after the assaults, your truth becomes the threat in their eyes so they spend a lifetime protecting the most vile of men. It happens millions of times a day.
