The last I knew of was Records and Stuff, over in Westchester Square here in the Bronx, but it's been ages, maybe a couple of decades, since I've been around there. No vinyl at the time, just CD and head shop stuff they had in the back. Ticketron for tickets also. Place was empty. Back in the day it was bustling with people.
I looked it up online, seems that they're actually still there. I didn't find out too much information. I saw something on Yelp, but then I had to wait while they verified my whatever, so skip that.
I saw something about "Does anybody remember..." on Facebook, and there were comments from people going way back, but nobody's saying anything current. Maybe they don't live around here anymore, which tends to be the case. People growing up in Bronx want to ditch it like it's a bad disease, even the good parts. Many end up regretting that, but then they can't afford to move back to neighborhoods like this. Housing prices are through the roof around here.
I wanted to show somebody something quick here, so posted the first version of this comment too quick, so had to do some editing and repost it.
