How do memes get in the Meme Bowl?

So what was this thing? I saw some meme bowl thing on I forgot what last night, but was busy doing something so I didn't get back to it.

This page was working yesterday:

I guess it was up for about 24 hours.

But what was it?

Newly created and eligible images were displayed in the livestream. Most of those images displayed in the livestream were generated by people using Imgflip without an account, some images were made by people with accounts.

If you clicked on an image in the livestream (and were logged in) you could upvote/comment.
