Ali:*walks out als looks at him like wtf* [she's just confusion]

..*he just stares at her* ..you want something?

Ali:what are u drinking

water. it's cotton candy flavored.

Ali:can j try some?

*Hayato looked down at his keys before looking back up at the room. Yup, this was it; room number 49. the dark skinned boy frowned and narrowed his bright green eyes. How unlucky, getting put in room number 49, the room of shinu made kurushimu- and yet also how fitting. unlocking the door, Hayato stepped inside, rolling his singular suitcase behind him*
Hayato: *hesitantly* Kon'nichiwa, koko ni iru hito wa imasu ka? Anyone here?

[Shinu made Kurushimu = A Japanese phrase meaning "to suffer until death". 49 is considered an unlucky number, due to the numbers 4 and 9 sounding like the words 'death' and 'suffering/torture' respectively]

Ali:hm? Ello? Who goes there?

*Hayato blinked before smiling a bit at Ali*
Hayato: *politely* Kon'nichiwa. are you my roommate? *despite his appearance not looking very Japanese, his accented voice cemented that he was at the very least raised there his whole life*

Ali:yep! Also I'm aware this rom is 49...however nothin weird has happened..least not yet

*Hayato nodded in recognition, feeling the slightest hint of a smile creeping onto his face. Huh, what an interesting roommate*
Hayato: yokatta- ah, ahem, sorry, English is still new to me *he gave Ali a small bow of apology* Gomen’nasai *a sudden draft entered the room, the cool wind blowing Ali’s hair over her shoulder as it passed*
*Hayato, on the other hand, just hoped he had hid his wince well enough*

Ali:How the-

*Hayato stared over Ali's shoulder as she turned around, giving the space in front of her a "are you serious" expression. he rolled his eyes and facepalmed before smiling again before Ali could see*
Hayato: Daijobu? are you alright? *suddenly, a small creature darted out of Hayato's sleeve and scampered to the window*

Ali:WTF

Hayato: Tomiko! *he rushed over and grabbed the little creature, which he began scolding in Japanese. the little weasel-like creature squeaked, and weirdly enough, Ali swore it had 2 tails* Gomen, I didn't think she'd run out like that. Yurushite kudasai *Hayato bowed an apology, holding the small creature close*

Ali:*confused *

*Hayato looked up, then down at the thing he’d called Tomiko, and back up again with a sheepish expression*
Hayato: ah, ahem, right. This is Tomiko, she’s my Emotional Support Animal *the little weasel yipped and sniffed at Ali excitedly*

*pets*

"AJR. I've got their whole fifth studio album, The Maybe Man, downloaded on this thing."

Ali:That's pretty nice,you hungry for lunch orrrrr?

*I pull out one earbud so I can still hear her, and then play my music. And just then, the most popular AJR song of all time, "BANG!", the only one of their songs to have ever topped the charts, comes on. I start singing along*

"I get up, I get down, and I'm jumping around, and the rumpus and ruckus are comfortable now; been a hell of a ride, but I'm thinking it's time to grow! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Ali:Whata listening to?

"An AJR song. It's called 'BANG!', and it's their only song to have ever topped the charts."

Ali:Unplug ya headphones so I can listen as well plz

"I'll have to hook it up to the bluetooth speaker, but I don't see why not."

*I pause the song, unplug my earbuds, connect the MP3 player to the bluetooth speaker, and restart the song from the beginning*
