I've never read the Maccabees before.

It does not appear in the Protestant Bible, if I'm not mistaken. I am not sure why, and I am not sure if they took it out or if the Catholics added it, but nonetheless, it's still worth reading.

Yeah, it was controversial along with all the other Apocrypha books during the Reformation, but I just bought myself the Lexham Septuagint translation, which has all the Apocrypha.

I just thought I would ask because I want to understand it better, but why do Protestants not believe that the bread and wine is truly Christ's body and blood? One would think that they would believe it, especially because of this Bible verse, but they apparently do not, so it perplexes me a little.

I would also like to state that there has been a few instances in the past where human tissue has formed on communion wafers. I know of one that I believe is in the Vatican that is still there and people can see it and is still fresh.
