Are you going after seatbelts next?

Seatbelts actually save innocent lives, gun control does not.

This is EXACTLY the same problem as seatbelts.

Do you really think criminals will give a f**k? They're criminals, they'll get guns whether there's a law or not. As for the unintentional gun use deaths, everyone who has a gun knows to keep them locked, unloaded, and away from ammo. There are literal commercials saying it. Those deaths are a result of negligence, it's not the gun's fault.

What I just posted about was accidental deaths of children. Those aren't happening because of criminals, so your retort is a non sequitur.

Did you not read the whole comment? The reason those kids died is because their parents didn't know how to keep a gun away from kids. It was the negligence of the parents and not the gun's fault.

It's not a one-off event. It's something that happens all over the country, dozens of times a year -- like unfastened seatbelt deaths used to. Regulations around how people keep guns in the home should help change those numbers.

Gun control is taking guns from the people, it's not rules on how to keep guns at home. It makes gun use illegal for all but the cops and army, and that's a violation of our second amendment rights.

That's a limited lens. Gun control can mean legislation about how guns are kept to keep our children safe.

No, it is only taking guns away, read the fine print. They regulate how guns are kept by taking them away.
