He's got a cell phone in his hand at the beginning of the conflict. But when he's struggling with 4 Border Patrol officers that's his Sig pistol in his hand. It's too big and bulky to be a phone.

Instead he chose to get into a struggle with 4 armed men and draw his gun.

If the Hardraker account can make out the Sig pistol in his hand by the available footage...perhaps, the Hardraker account can see the blood from the gunshot wounds?

Notice the item in his hand is MUCH larger than the cell phone camera in his hand when the altercation started.
It's the same size as a full size Sig Saur service pistol . If you listen to the audio on the recording you hear the cops yell "gun! Gun! Gun!" Then you hear a loud pop followed by several pops.
It's very well possible that his gun discharged first which kicked off the fireworks.
Maybe you'd care to explain what that item in his hand is? It's about 2 inches thick. No cell phone is that thick.
