Murder is murder, why would it make a difference to me who was committing it?

By the same token self defense is self defense, and all gun laws do is make it harder for law abiding citizens to get a gun. Do you really think a criminal is gonna care about a background check at a guns and ammo store, or are they gonna go buy one off the street and do whatever it is they're planning on doing?

Do drugs being illegal keep people from doing drugs? Does the legal age for alcohol being 21 keep teens from getting booze on prom night? Do gun laws keep criminals from getting guns? No on all accounts.

Again, murder is murder, why should I care who's committing it? You seem to be saying that because citizens commit murder too, we shouldn't be trying to round up and deport illegals.

And so by your logic someone who comes home tonight to find someone they care about has been murdered or raped by an illegal shouldn't care because citizens do it to, even though it wouldn't have happened in the first place had they been deported before they had the chance to commit the act.

I didn't say that at all. But you're trying to tell us that being an illegal automatically makes that person a potential murderer.

I haven't said that, what I have done is ask people who will replace the ones who are here for a better life and doing the jobs Americans refuse to do. I'm not saying all they're qualified for is cleaning hotel rooms, being on a lawn crew, doing dishes in a restaraunt but Americans feel those jobs are beneath them and wont do them creating a vaccum the illegals fill.

But that doesn't mean ICE shouldn't be out rounding up known rapists murderers and thieves, people who were let out of jail in thier home country and given plane tickets here. It's a problem both parties created, it's been known for a long time democrats want the votes and republicans want the cheap labor so both have looked the other way until it reached the point it has and unfortunatly otherwise decent people are getting caught up, but also unfortunatly they came here illegaly in the first place.

Walz and gang should hand over those already locked up for crimes committed rather than letting them out to roam the streets, ICE wouldn't be going door to door if that was the case.
Theres no easy answers and somewhere between "throw them all out" and "pretend you didn't see that" is the answer but it came to this point by way too much of avoiding the issue by both parties.

Walz, Newsom, Mamdani and other blue state governors should be assisting ICE by handing over those already locked up for crimes committed but they wont do that so we are where we are, otherwise hard working decent people doing the jobs Americans refuse to do are getting caught up in it and I still ask, who's gonna clean your hotel room Mr. throw them all out because an American wont, and who are you gonna blame Mr. look the other way when your daughter gets raped or murdered by one?

They're kept so busy meeting some arbitrary quotas that they don't have time to go after "the worst if the worst", which was the original plan (or so we were told). Scrap the quotas, stick to the worst of the worst. Makes more sense than what they're doing now. The rush to meet quotas is one reason citizens have been caught up in their dragnets.

And last July Luis Alvarez, an illegal, saved a little white girl from a shark attack. If he had been deported before he committed that act the little girl would have suffered a gruesome death.
