The free market has the ability to correct itself from corruption, if left alone. We don't have a free market anymore.

Let's face the facts. All economic and/or political system can be corrupted. Historically corruption harms people the most under collectivism. Nazism, fascism, communism and socialism. But then those systems are corrupt to begin with and they just get worse.
