I understand where you are coming from but rather I think it boils down to patriots -- or at least those citizens seeing military service as a good alternative to college -- versus frequently nation-hating leftists, most of whom come from at least middle class privilege, who would never DREAM of putting their own precious selves on the firing line or of saying "Yes sir and No ma'am," to an officer.

I have been in and out of my local V.A. medical clinic twice a month for starting my 3rd year in a row. There are easily as many Black and Brown veterans there nowadays as Whites. Patriotism cuts across all ethnicities and races. Equally true is that bullets and IEDs do not distinguish between people in uniform.

I agree, we are all green. My family, like many out here is full of vets, most did a hitch and out, a few retired and a few died for our country. Those of us still around will fight over which service is best, and all the normal vet junk but we will crush any outsider attempting to dishonor one of them.

Patriots really appear in mass only when needed, but there are everywhere and do not need or use the stupid stunts the commies do to make their numbers appear larger. The city closest to me had an anti-ice rally last Saturday, two cars, and quickly broke up and left when dozens of trucks waving old Glory showed up. I also noticed the fake media was showing pictures of anti ICE protects by using stock footage. The people wearing short sleeve shirts this time of year and no snow on the ground gave it away. 1000 protests was a massive lie.

And then those leftist media outlets wonder why they continue to steadily lose viewership.

Bill Clinton on the other hand simply ran away and then eventually got a family friend judge -- or something along those lines -- to rule that he wasn't really dodging the draft. Finally we have Barack Obama who didn't have any draft to avoid but who made SURE it could never happen by being such a high school drug addict that it was moot anyway.

Weird that the Political Left's collective pretend that NONE of that on the Left of Center happened.
