There's a reason why screens exist. People love to say "Words have power" and :"You should use your words", and in doing so, perpetuate the myth that anyone can talk or write their way into or out of anything. Maybe if you're a head of state or a bestselling author or a hotshot celebrity you really can talk your way into or out of anything, but the vast majority of people will someday discover they can't (if they haven't already). And when that happens, they will no longer believe the "Words have power" myth.
So people turn to screens when words fail. People say "The book is always better than the movie", but the movie is so much more powerful than the book. The movie has so much power to engage and to persuade than the book ever will. Some things can be shown or demonstrated without using screens, but that's not always practical or legal or moral. Would you light someone's house on fire to show them how dangerous fire is and how fast fire can spread? I didn't think you would.
