I’m scared to try this after what I experienced with Unleashed

I actually haven't played Colors before, but i do know that Ultimate was horribly buggy on release, and I don't know if everything was patched. They also ironically dulled a lot of the colors

Despite all that I don’t consider myself a real Sonic fan. I love SEGA but my favorite franchises from them are Yakuza, Monkey Ball, and Jet Set Radio.

Same, I love Sega. Funny thing is my main two fandoms are kinda from Sega (Vocaloid/utau and Sonic)

If you haven't played them yet, when you get the chance I highly recommend the two Generations games. Sonic Generations improves on the formula for Unleashed in every way, and replaces the Werehog stages with Classic Sonic, who actually controls pretty well in that game.
Shadow Generations, meanwhile, has quickly stolen the spot as my favorite in the series. It's buttery smooth with tight controls, and a good story if that's your thing. I played it on my Switch 1, and it still ran like a dream. This is probably the most polished Sonic game I've played, besides Mania.

I’ve played both. They’re good.

I’m just glad they finally decided to make the player character turn immediately for efficiency’s sake instead of having an animation for it. It fixes so much.
