Well by the time someone is a teen, it should really just be about blocking inappropriate sites
Its very easy for a parent to go overboard, or to be way too restrictive because theres always a place their child COULD break the rules, even if they won't. And theres no room for days to look different from each other

Atp we are just discussing ideals and I don’t think a perfect childhood like what I am describing is really feasible. Most parents are human and aren’t perfect

Sure if your kid actively does bad things on electronics then those rights can be taken away, but if you're a normal or good kid the rules should be quite different
Take me, I pay all the bills for my phone and use it for things like podcasts and content creation, yet I'm not allowed to use my browser for more than 30 minutes a day, I can't use it on Sundays, and a whole bunch of other garbage
Then take xxxtentacion. In his childhood, if he masturbates to porn in the bathroom 4 times a day, then not letting him have a phone at all is reasonable

You also are older than who I am envisioning when I think of restrictions like that. If you have had a job then at that point you should have a much more unrestricted access of the internet
