But we don’t need to respect them more than white people. Netflix still hires a lot of people based on race. If The Little Mermaid is black, you know something’s up
But of course it’s unfair to hire people based on race and not if they play the part well
Showing respect to black people means inclusion, but it doesn’t mean prioritizing
I see racism in this in that the point of the film is to make the boy look innocent and the filmmakers decided if they made kid Black it would ruin the effect . . .how sad, that this is how our society profiles people
