Freedom

A nation cannot exist without the vast majority of citizens adhering to known to be beneficial societal standards as established by hundreds of years of trial and error.

There's a massive amount of leeway for 'freedom' inside those beneficial societal standards; but the Political Left wants to roll the dice with their mutant versions of Utopia that history has repeatedly proved do . . . not . . . work.

I just think religion is oppressive and outdated.

That's one way to look at it.

Another is to look at what one states that they hold sacred and holy.

Individual Property Ownership is one of the greatest expressions of Liberty.

In England, the King owns ALL the dirt.

Traditional Values; ie, individual Property ownership is an indicator of a free human being.

When one is unburdened by what has been, one becomes burdened by a lack of ownership Freedom .
