Modern go-fasts are similar: 300–600-mile range, not the 1,700+ needed to reach the U.S. mainland from Venezuela. They’re for short hops, not trans-Caribbean crossings. No amount of fuel barrels makes that trip feasible without support ships. The comparison doesn’t hold—different missions, same range limits.
