Teach students what socialism is, what other forms it took, how it affected the lives of the citizens. And problem solved.

Yes, but with the stipulation that it be taught by politically and ideologically neutral people and NOT the leftist pro-socialism/pro-Marxists with which such courses are almost universally taught today.

You are exactly correct. Currently about 99% of all college professors are radical leftists and they do teach socialism, they just don't teach what socialism does to the people who are stuck living in a socialist country. Some of the professors might know about that but don't care because they think they will be rewarded by their overlords (typically socialists murder their useful idiots) or they are completely blind to the evils of socialism.

We need professors that teach students how to think and get rid of all of these leftist professors who are telling student what to think. We used to be so much better at getting students to think but the socialists who infested academia cannot tolerate people who think for themselves so they changed our education to indoctrination.

If you take a test that was given to 8th grade students around the turn of the 20th century and give it to the intellectuals of today, most of them couldn't pass the test. I probably couldn't either but I don't consider myself an intellectual or even very smart.

I know several education specialists who are not leftists. Routinely they tell good students with independent strengths how to get through college. Embedded in the advice is how to pretend to be an obedient ideological liberal or leftist so as to pass the various courses. Once they have their degree in hand then they are free to shrug off the indoctrination efforts. None of this should be necessary; but necessary it has become.

My wife had to do that in her college English 101 class back in the 90's. Had my wife spoke her mind in her assignments she probably would have failed. Fortunately my English 101 teacher wasn't entirely lost in the loony left and did not ask us to write essays about politics. We went to different colleges.

Conservatives have been telling their kids or others to just pretend just to get a good grade for several decades.

If I had graduating high school kids right now I would discourage them from college. I would direct them towards a trade school or help them start a business. Or I would encourage them to learn a valuable skill on their own.

It is possible to study law without college and pass a bar exam. Maybe not in California or New York but there are plenty of states who's bar exam isn't so horrifying.

Bill Gates is a billionaire and he only spent half a semester in college. He's an evil billionaire but a billionaire non the less. I would encourage them to be a billionaire, but not an evil billionaire, so that they can take care of me in my old age.

But my wife and I were not able to have kids so I don't have to worry about either them incurring 100's of thousands of dollars in debt for a entirely inadequate education just to get a degree that at one time had value to it.

Tonight a friend of ours confessed that they have to earn and set aside about $300,000 to get their daughter through college starting in about seven years from now; and all that just to get her to a master's degree in whatever subject she will major in. Any nation having that as a higher education necessity needs to rethink their entire educational system.

That's for sure. That's ridiculous. My house didn't even cost that much and that's the most expensive thing I have ever bought.

I don't know what their current cost is but Western Governor's University was a whole lot less about 15 years ago. They are online only but you can get a bachelor's and I think a master's degree there.

They said this would happen when Obama nationalized the student loan program, and it did. When are people ever going to learn that every layer you add between you and your college, doctor, etc is going to cost more. Especially when the government is that extra layer.
