If you really believe that the Democrat leadership actually cares about the opinions and hardships of their own voters, might I remind you about the recent government shutdown where U.S. citizens were used as "leverage" by the Democrat elite ?

That's a very good point. They didn't give a damn about the people (as in families and children) they were actually hurting when they voted... what was it, 14 times, to keep the govt shut down, while all 14 times the 'pubs were voting to open it.

I also wonder why we have 12.5% of our population on food stamps? Color me shocked if there are a lot of illegal immigrants, dead-voting-democrats, and well-off folks who are looking for a free handout included in that number.

I guess I should be glad it's *only* 12.5%. Because if the left had their way (see: Mamdani) that figure would be 100%.
