Irresponsible men and women is my answer.

If you want to say it's because people are irresponsible it completely ignores all the times when somebody becomes a single parent because the other parent dies in an accident. That happened to somebody I know. The family was in a car accident and the wife died, leaving the husband to raise the two children.

Cheesy, are you just making stuff up again? Even if you are not, the statistics don't lie. Family values are not random. They are there for a reason. Don't be a hoe. Think about who you are having sex with. Will they support you? Basic stuff is being ignored.
