Heck, I remember a really old opinion page comic of the American Eagle and Soviet Union Bear clinging to a peak of a mountain and holding on for dear life. They were surrounded by a dark cloud on all sides labeled Terrorism. . .and the comic was made when Reagan was saying things like, "Mister Gorbachev, tear down that wall!"
