btw, I'm literally the only individual on this site that predicted he would win in 2016. Even his fandom didn't believe he was going to win. Another person on this site had a grandparent that also predicted he would win then, and somebody else knows somebody that also predicted it. That would make it three separate individuals that I am aware of on Planet Earth that predicted Trump would win in 2016. If I bet a single dollar in Vegas, I'd be richer than Elon right now.

As far as it being "liberal fear mongering" goes, maybe keep in mind the fact that Steve Bannon is the one threatening “He’s going to get a third term. Trump is going to be president in ‘28 and people ought to just get accommodated with that.”

The breaking point of the "won't ever happen" assertion is the fact that Trump already attempted a coup in '21, has stacked, continues to stack the government with what can reasonably deduced to be loyalists, fired, continues attmpting to fire government officials based on party affiliation, that Congress is currently controlled, may well continue to be controlled by GOPers who have demonstrated they're not going to lift a finger in the face of overt violations of the law, Constitution issuing from the Oval Office under this administration and a GOP-majority SCOTUS which has ruled, continues to issue rulings in favor of the Trump Administration running contrary to precedent (in several instances, contrary to currently sitting Justices' own prior rulings), contrary to the clear letter of the law with no explanation, no statement of underpinning reasoning -just a blanket, shadow docket okie-doke. Pair that with a SecDef who's apparently carrying out an inquisition at the Pentagon, barring any journalist who won't agree to government censorship from setting foot in its press corp and it comes out to a recipe for overthrow of the Republic.

If memory serves, it was Lamar Alexander said "the Democrats proved their case" concerning the matter of Trump's position as Kingpin of the events of 1/6/21.
