This is essentially true. The average Democrat KNOWS all of that is wrong but doesn't care as long as there is a remote possibility of being part of the 'gimme that' recipients from corrupt to the core Dem Party leadership.

Unfortunately, this is their party and I have only seen it decline from the almost rock bottom it hit years ago. I agreed with your statement in another of your recent memes...ignore what they say, watch what they do.

HOW can a group of people who should be good Americans, be so BAD? It is something I think about often and just wish all people could be good.

Thanks V but believe it or not my dad was a diehard democrat. He couldn't see the change in the party. If he were still around, I would like to think he would have walked away from today's democratic party. He grew up with nothing and would feed anyone even if he went without himself. One thing he did teach me is a man with dirty hands will never starve. He did believe the secret to success was learn to do as much as you could.

I think Dad's world view was born out of personal need and the current dims are built out of greed. Dad wouldn't take anything without trading work or paying for it. He would look down on the give me everything I want/demand dims that infect the party now.

I honestly do believe it, BF, as my parents were Democrats as well. What you say parallels my feelings about my parents and wondering if they would have walked away from the Democrat party today? Sad that I will never know.

Like your dad, my parents didn't look for handouts (but they didn't need them...we were definitely upper middle class). But they were brought up to be Democrats...

I love that your dad felt hard work pays off. I have always respected that about hard-working men. So, that was definitely one of his gifts to you.

I think your comment about 'need and greed' is smack on about today's Democrats as they have truly fallen.

Although he is not with me now, I still see the results of his hard work every day, the fields are full, the wildlife and stock are happy and need nothing. I have doubled our timber holding, added new revenue streams and ensured the next generation will not be reliant on others.

The crops, stock and cultivation are as much hobby now as income, that's by design, the political games can't harm us now.

Our focus now is on keeping the real estate agents away and not letting roads cross our property. I will admit I get the nicest letters from Chinese trying to buy me out. I love the way they start "Hello, we hope we find you in good health and great cheer", lol still not selling.

My son is not a little boy any longer, but we still sit down together, make plans for the future, discuss what went wrong with the democrats and what needs done first around here. He focuses on modern ideas like AI and auto this and that, I think we will be ok for at least another generation past him.
