FUN FACT: Given the trajectory it had been on, it had been expected that per capita crime rates would continue to increase over the decades. But instead, since after the '90s, they have been far lower than expected.
Turns out the only factor that could account for this trend is abortion. As many of the unwanted that were aborted would have otherwise grown up in an environment more conducive to turning them criminal, their elimination ended up lowering crime rate trends.
