In the 18 hours following Trump's briefing, New York City's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene reported 30 cases of exposure to household cleaners, including Lysol and bleach, compared to 13 cases in the same period the previous year. Kansas Poison Control saw a 40% increase in calls related to cleaning chemicals, with one reported case of a man drinking a product based on the advice he received. Illinois also experienced an increase in calls, with reports of individuals using detergent solutions for sinus rinses or gargling with bleach. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan stated his state received "hundreds of calls" from residents inquiring about using disinfectants to treat coronavirus. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer also noted an increase in calls to poison control, urging the dissemination of medically accurate information.

Explain how the media messed up injecting disinfectants?

“So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too. It sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that.”
