Yes, but that aside psychologically they have been diagnosed as the most inherently uncurious people on Earth. They actually WANT everything scripted for them so that there is absolutely no possibility of them risking independent thought or input.

If anything, journalists hate the constitution, they take advantage of the first amendment to sow discord and chaos in society. There was a reason why John Adams suspended free press despite championing it when he became president, too many journalists at that time wanted to undo the newly born country of America. Yes even in the 1700s these "truth speakers" wanted to erode society.
