Newsome understands grift. He has trained for decades under, at least, one master of the game. The money he has pulled out of the California economy and, most importantly, it's inhabitants, is not enough to satiate his greed. California was once the destination for big tech, startups, high end shops...making money. Now? The money, what's left, is fleeing the state. The money makers are fleeing the state. The workers that can leave are also leaving. By the time the liberal elites are through dismantling the once great state, it will be populated by addicts and the mentally ill homeless men and women. Tent cities. Cardboard box towns. Or... They are purposely creating a very large space to dump all the forgettable and forgotten members of society from all of their other failed cities. Optics over substance. They never fix the problems that their policies create. They hide them through word games. Spin the narrative. Lie. Obfuscate. It's a game to them. They sacrifice people so they can line their pockets. They care about themselves and only themselves.
