If you can learn the bass clef, do it. Having only played treble clef, I had a terrible time playing piano. I was constantly having to transcribe it in my mind to learn it compared to the treble. I wish I had learned both.
Then perhaps you should learn an instrument that plays the treble clef. It will serve you well in your future and give you experience to play many instruments.
Ah, that I totally understand. But....if you want to be more well rounded, you might consider the piano at some point. It uses both. Now, that was a wild ride for me after playing the trumpet and French horn. I had no idea what I was doing.
I also remember my trumpet teacher held a contest of who could play the highest note....my lips hurt afterwards but I won. I have no idea what note I played. It was squeaky. 😄
