Also. . .we were/are born 'illegal' because our sin nature made us 'outlawed' from Heaven and God. . .that's why Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. . .however just as people who enter the US are expected to do certain things like obey our law so, believers in Christ are also expected to do certain things - ask Jesus for forgiveness and make a honest attempt at repentance.

No, we weren't born "illegal". We were born as sinners, but that's a completely different concept. All people have dignity & worth in God's eyes, and you being born on American soil doesn't make you superior or righteous or even exceptional. When the holy family travelled to Egypt to avoid persecution & slaughter, you might have considered them "illegal". But God was the one who enabled them to emigrate.

King David thought he was born 'born perfect/without flaws' . God set him(and by extension the rest of us) straight about that kind of thinking. So what does it mean? It simply means that one day that baby is going to grow up and at some point commit a sin just as an illegal immigrant will one day break another US law on top of breaking the initial law of illegally entering the US.
