Excellent example! I, admittedly, disliked Rush vehemently, but I had to give him credit for that one.
(not a great reference at the time tho, as not everyone knew Bob Denver before he was Gilligan)
What worried me was how many "regular" people took it seriously. Too many people who would watch Tucker, and people like him, and get worked up. Then leave their houses, and yell at me about things like M&Ms, Uncle Ben's rice, Mr. Potato Head, etc. Literally yell at me. When, not only didn't I say anything about any of that, I didn't care. It was not only unpleasant for me, but seemed to be terribly disappointing for them as well. They really were geared up for a fight or debate. When I simply said something like "So? No, I don't care about any of those silly things." - they almost always looked deflated.
So, the point I was trying to make, was that when you hear someone say "Liberals care about <this thing>" just ask "Which liberal? Who said it?"
