The irony of this meme is that myself and at least half a dozen other people (solely the direct comments I've seen) have had just about every criticism of a liberal meme disregarded as being a russian bot or troll or some other such nonsense.

Just like the almighty super-putin, it seems his troll army occupy all internet space and time. Quite a remarkable feat.

Also almost every liberal on this site openly acknowledge they all indeed agree on everything, which is not exactly surprising seeing as all of their memes are simply CNNs talking point from 2 hours earlier.

Also, even Rush Limbaugh didn't take Tucker Carlson seriously. He called Tucker 'Chatsworth Osborne Jr.' If you're familiar with the old Dobbie Gillis TV Show then you know that wasn't a compliment by any stretch of the imagination.

Excellent example! I, admittedly, disliked Rush vehemently, but I had to give him credit for that one.
(not a great reference at the time tho, as not everyone knew Bob Denver before he was Gilligan)

What worried me was how many "regular" people took it seriously. Too many people who would watch Tucker, and people like him, and get worked up. Then leave their houses, and yell at me about things like M&Ms, Uncle Ben's rice, Mr. Potato Head, etc. Literally yell at me. When, not only didn't I say anything about any of that, I didn't care. It was not only unpleasant for me, but seemed to be terribly disappointing for them as well. They really were geared up for a fight or debate. When I simply said something like "So? No, I don't care about any of those silly things." - they almost always looked deflated.

So, the point I was trying to make, was that when you hear someone say "Liberals care about <this thing>" just ask "Which liberal? Who said it?"

I appreciate you sharing all of that. I get the impression that you & I could probably agree that there are no absolutes in the world. No "all Republicans" or "all Democrats". Or pretty much any large group of people.

I'm willing to admit when something is ridiculous. I know there are bots and trolls on both sides. Just trying to stir up shit, and cause division.

I'm willing to call out any stated liberal idea that I think doesn't make sense. I'll also share if it's something that I've never actually heard any liberal say or do in "real" life. And admit when it's verifiable that a fellow Democrat said or did something wrong, or clueless, or broke a law, etc. Do I enjoy admitting it? Of course not. It's embarrassing. I'd love to live in a happy little world, where no one "my side" has ever done anything wrong, or ever made a mistake. But I'd have to be delusional to think that way.

Do I think that ALL Republicans form their criticisms the way I depicted in the meme. Of course not. It's an exaggerated parody to make a point. And come on. Admit it. You HAVE seen people like that though. And it's embarrassing, right? You don't want people like that representing you, right?

For the record, I don't watch CNN. I try to get my news from a variety of sources, and I fact check everything. Even things that I WANT to be true. To me, it's easier to make sure I'm right, than have to admit that I wasn't. Actually, just today I saw a comment somewhere that said there are more registered Democrats in Texas than Republicans. That's the kind of thing that could give me hope. But I didn't believe it. So I looked it up myself. Turns out it was true. Over 8 million Democrats, and just over 6 million Republicans. Crazy, right?

Well Dammit,
Flipping typo. No, the irony is not lost on me that it was in the sentence "... where no one on "my side" has ever done anything wrong ..." I left out the word "on". LOL
I've always seen it as a character flaw to not be able to laugh at yourself.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not so evolved that part of me doesn't WANT to delete the whole comment, and start over, and pretend like it never happened "What typo?" "Who me?" lol
Considering the conversation, the only mature thing to do is to admit that I do actually make mistakes, and laugh at myself.
