Within the span of three weeks of the Uk censorship laws get passed in the interest of “protecting children”:

US, Canada, and EU posture to create similar laws to the UK’s Online Safety Act (see Kids Online Safety Act and SCREEN Act).

Google through YT rolls out an age verification AI and new restrictions and what will be restricted to people younger than 16 (see my last post) in the US.

Google and Spotify want people to send government IDs, credit cards, and their faces so they can all get verified as being older than 16.

FOSI is created as a board for online safety, almost all of it’s board members are prominent individuals from major conglomerates that benefit from censorship and collecting IDs from people. The Roblox VP is on there. Personnel from Microsoft, Google, Netflix, and Epic Games are also there (not the full list).

Roblox’s predator problem thats been going on since at least 2015 finally gets recognition, enough for the US government to open an investigation on Roblox and it’s public enough that a Supreme Court Justice even tweeted about it.

Basically I’m saying that the US government finally recognizing Roblox’s problems that they have actively been making worse over the course of 10 years is going to be used as a reason to push for government IDs to “verify everyone’s age” on the internet later.

Why is Robloh a political thing now

It’s had problems with pedophiles for over 10 years and actually had Roblox side with the pedos and ban pedo catchers for exposing the pedos. Now when the US wants to create it’s own “Online Safety Act,” suddenly Roblox gets sued by Louisiana and Texas state governments, has the US Supreme Court’s attention, and the US federal government opens it’s own official investigation into Roblox.

literally every platform that has both children and adults using it had problems with pedophiles, always. it's just a disgusting reality about what people do. Roblox did nothing about it all this time. verifying people's age with IDs can only make it worse imo, it can't work against those creeps

Roblox hasn’t not done nothing about it, they’ve unbanned confirmed pedophiles, invited and hired a pedophile to help run their biggest game event causing some of the devs to pull put of it, and banned people for catching pedophiles in the first place. They’ve actively made the problem worse.

Here’s how it affects social media and the internet: It’s going to be used to support bills necessitating companies to collect IDs to verify your age for online “safety.” Thats the only reason Roblox is getting attention now.
